During my recent stay at Maison for a much-needed getaway, I found it to be a peaceful retreat that offered a unique touch. I spent a week in a cozy two-bedroom house that had all the essentials for a family. The highlight was definitely breakfast on our first morning—delicious and quite satisfying. Fabienne, our host, was both entertaining and engaging, which added a nice personal touch. While there weren’t grandiose views, the tranquil garden and the outdoor swimming pool certainly invited relaxation. I spent leisurely afternoons at the seasonal pool, which opens in April, taking in the sun and enjoying the serenity around me. The self-catering setup made it easy for us to unwind after our adventures exploring the nearby attractions. Though my experience was overall pleasant, it felt more like a tranquil retreat rather than an action-packed holiday. If you’re looking for a peaceful escape and a chance to relax, I’d say Maison is worth considering. Just immerse yourself in the simplicity of it all.
